4th of July Parade
Starts at 9AM at the Franklin County Fairgrounds near downtown Old Hilliard. The Historical Society will have our antique cars in the parade.

This is a week long History Express Camp for elementary aged children from August 4-8; 8:30-3:30! Sign up through Hilliard Parks and Recreation. Have fun learning about growing up in the 1800s with hands-on activities daily.

Ohio Open Doors
Join us and fellow Ohioans in communities throughout Ohio to celebrate Ohio Open Doors on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 1:00-5:00. This is a statewide event where we can showcase our village and museum, along with sharing how our village depicts the central parts of Hilliard’s history.

57th Heritage Day
Our 57th Annual Heritage Day is full of fun for everyone today as the whole village, museum and grounds are open to the public! Step back in time, grab some Cracker Jacks and watch the Ohio Muffins play a game of vintage base ball, hear speeches from George Washington, experience craft & butter-making, telegraphing, quilting, music, blacksmithing & demos, and much more! Donuts & coffee, ham & bean soup, cornbread, water & lemonade available for purchase.

Coffee Festival: Village & Museum Hours (Copy)
Columbus Coffee Festival is Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9AM -6 PM & Sunday, Oct. 5 from 9AM - 6PM. There are coffee stations in the train station, music at the pavilion, coffee vendors, a goat farm, poetry center and various activities around the village! Take a walk through our museum to see the History of Coffee Exhibit. Historic buildings will be open from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM both Saturday & Sunday.

Crafts in the chapel and stories in the schoolhouse. Kids wear your costumes for prizes! Food and drinks available.
Admission: $5 per person, kids 3 and under are FREE.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Park at the village or take a trolley ride from downtown Old Hilliard to our historical village this season. We feature Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves in the schoolhouse with children writing letters to Santa and coloring bookmarks. Enjoy live reindeer, balloon twisting & face painting in the museum and a inflatable gingerbread house & giant snow globe. Harpist in the church and a taste of Christmas decorations in the buildings. Don’t forget the other special activities this night only.

Santa and Mrs Claus in the Train Station
Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Historical Village Train Station! Children can share a Christmas list with Santa, receive a special treat, take a horse drawn wagon ride, eat donuts, drink hot chocolate, listen to holiday, music in the church, visit the decorated buildings and miniature lighted village in the museum. Gift shop is open!

Archival Library’s Open House
Hilliard Historical Society Archival Library has an Open House on August 31st from non until 1:30. We’ve opened our doors for you to stop by and see why this library is unique to families of Hilliard residents.
Art & Craft Show
This annual show gets better and better with talented local artists throughout the village. The Hilliard Historic Village & Museum will be open for guided tours. Food and drink available.
